Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt came together for the first time in their careers in the Chanel Iconic Handbag campaign.

This short film, featuring two Oscar-winning actors, brings together the worlds of fashion and cinema. In 1966, Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant brought Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant to life in A Man and a Woman, presented in a contemporary perspective with Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt. As a modern interpretation of the film, this project pays homage to the history of French cinema. Chanel's reimagining of a cult movie emphasizes the brand's vision and draws attention to the timelessness of the bag.

Chanel's creative director Virginie Viard's passion for art is deeply felt in this project, a unique synthesis of cinema and fashion. Directed by Inez & Vinoodh, the film has been recreated, preserving the original structure of the scenes and dialogues. The legendary beach scene, the horizon stretching into infinity and of course Deauville...

The film explores the desire, hesitation and fear that arise in a love encounter.
